Too many to choose from. I bought a Monte one at a LCDH a couple of years ago. Total tent peg. Almost passed out trying to light it. It is probably still lying in the bushes where I threw it.

In buying CCs I have had everything from fireproof wrappers to cigars exploding to underfilled wind tunnels and tent pegs. I find this less these days. I once smoked a Sancho Panza where I couldnt get any air out of it. Haven't smoked one in many years.

I would see the worst rolled cigar I ever smoked was a Trinidad Vigia. It had the loosest draw I ever had on a cigar. What made it worse was the metallic taste through the cigar? I did smoke other Vigias after it but I am still traumatized by that experience.

2003 and the very first box I ever bought. Punch Black Prince from 2001 and every one was plugged or really, really right. What a disappointment. I was naive to the fact that cigars from '99 to '01 were a risky purchase.

Ahhh... This was called the "Curse of 1999" back in the day on some of the old cigar forums. Production quality was so shoddy on a consistent basis. Poor draw, fireproof lighters, young tobacco, any negative issue you can think of would be on the realm of possibilities regardless of marque. From Cohiba to Bolivar to Montecristo, there was a size or model that was immune. Disappointments aplenty, and it could run an entire box.

Total tent peg

Speaking of total tent pegs. Probably the worst examples I've a tent peg was a lancero. This thing was SOOOOO incredibly tight that I struggled to even light it. Unfortunately, no picking, prodding, or massaging made any difference. I left the stick sitting in an ashtray at the lounge I was at...shame.

I had two boxes of Cohiba Lanceros and two boxes of Sir Winstons made in 2001 that were just like dowels. Maybe 3 cigars out of each box that would smoke normally. Flavors were very good, but just heart breaking. Luckily prices were a lot better back then.
