DeeBeezy Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Hey guys, I’m eyeing up the Corta Suave and Sovereign Suns, any opinions? Any other Fabrica 5 that are must have? I have bundles of Robusto, Carlota, Canonazo, Spada Gorda. Have any of the above cigars improved/changed since the new factory run?
KCCubano Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I would give the Queen Corona a try. It's my favorite so far, although I think they are all good. 3
El Niño Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Corta Suave is wonderfully savory after a little rest. Sovereign Suns is a solid little flavor bomb. Ninfas and Nudie Lanceros are two of my favorite cigars of all time! 2
Li Bai Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Well I have yet to try one I didn't enjoy, so you should probably try them all! 😁 2

BrightonCorgi Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I'd lean towards whichever vitola is your preferred. They are pretty similar in quality across the board so far for me. 2

Personally I have liked all the Nudies I have smoked. The standouts to me are Ninfa, Queen Corona, Robusto Trinity and Fat Fundadores. Let them rest at least 30 days. 4

Corte Suave: no comparison, it's its own tangy spicy animal Sovereign Suns: young RASS vibes Ninfa: PL Montecarlo, honey-Cohiba type beat. Might be the best in the whole Fab5 line Lancero: everything I want a cigar to be - sweet, spicy, subtly peppery, rich, salty, slightly creamy 3 hours ago, Ford2112 said: Look at these cigars as having their own identity. Ford2112 is right though, don't think about them as copies, but distant cousins. 5
Ruggerpgh99 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Everyone I have had has been excellent. If you have a preferred vitola, thats what I would go with. I mostly have Sovereign Suns, Lancero, and PC. The Canonazo is solid, if a bit bigger than I would like, and I am looking forward to trying the Robusto Trinity and Spada very soon. I lean towards Coronas and Lanceros mostly. 2
MagicalBikeRide Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I’ve smoked the Robusto most - because the odd stick gives me that porridge / oats with honey vibe. It’s rare, but I’ve experienced it more with the Robusto than other vitolas. It’s my favourite for that reason. And aside from Fab5, I smoke almost entirely Cubans - in case that is helpful. 2

I had no love for the Churchill but time has worked some magic on them. I initially found them non-descript and boring. Now, the most recent couple I've tried were tasty. 3

I see where you're coming from with them being nondescript, but I still love them! (It's the Fat Fundy that feels boring to me.) 1
Ford2112 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I found the Fat Fundy needed time. Ninfas are good from the get go! 1

'21 Lancero will be sadly missed by me when they’re gone. Churchills have about 2 years on them. I just bought another bundle in case they become magical. I think they’ve got a chance. 2
