To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well! Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor) 4-6 (Average to good) 7-10 (very good to excellent) Use the Poll. You are more than free to comment away H. Upmann Connie 1's were always a forum favourite largely for their flavour reliability, fair price and general availability. Is that still the case? Today: H. Upmann Connoisseur Number 1 Let's kick off the discussion Let us know in this thread
Popular Post Duder Posted August 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 20, 2025 Love this cigar. Almost always delivers with even just a few years age. Once in a great while you stumble on a box that is out of this world. I love this about H. Upmann. I’ve been rationing a box from ‘08 that is one such box. Every single one has been stellar. Long live the Connie 1! 9
Popular Post Allroz Posted August 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 20, 2025 I am deep on these. Such a great blend and consistent. 6
Popular Post JohnS Posted August 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 20, 2025 Agreed. A great workhorse cigar. For me, very consistent in its delivery. 5

Long live the Connie 1! Yes! I had two boxes of 08's that were superb. Thinking USE code but maybe wrong. 08 Upmann 2s were phenomenal as well. So rich and complex. 2 1
yuppie Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 These guys and the Half Coronas made me an Upmann believer. I used to think Hoyo was my favorite, now it's probably Upmann. Sweet bread, coffee cake, just amazing flavors and haven't had a construction issue. I recently grabbed boxes of Majestics, Connie 2's, RR's and want to just keeping working my way through the catalog. I need to find some aged Coronas Junior/Major next. 1
Dmex Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 I love all Upmanns really. The Connie A is my favorite but the Connie 1 is a close second. I have some old ones 2014s and fresh ones. They are amazing cigars. 2
DeeBeezy Posted August 20, 2025 Posted August 20, 2025 Recently got back into this cigar after a few years away. Unreal stuff. When they’re on excellent especially as a summer cigar in the morning. I’m smoking a Dec 24 box code as well which is shockingly good. Decided to pick up more. 2
Gamehawker Posted August 21, 2025 Posted August 21, 2025 This my absolutely my favorite cigar. I have currently about 10+ aged sealed boxes of them and my youngest box is 2017. I saw on Bond Roberts yesterday a box with box code "MEG MAY 17" sold for $870. I bought a bunch of the boxes with the same code in August 2019 for a sale price of $162. I should of bought 30+ boxes of them. 😞 3 1 2
BG318 Posted August 21, 2025 Posted August 21, 2025 Just had one the other day. It was a great smoke. 1 2/3 hours of great smooth flavors, copious smoke and nice transitions. Should be a staple in the humidor. Not sure why I don't reach for one more often. 1
ViscountDick Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Adore the Connie 1, cream and custard to me, hard to beat. Probably second in the H.Upmann line for me, behind Mag46, which I love both young and old. 1
