CigarCulture09 Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 Watched this yesterday. Fantastic interview. Max Gutmann is a legend. 1
Popular Post El Hoze Posted June 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 1, 2025 Would love to hang out w Max Gutmann for a bit. Cool to watch. I feel compelled to say, I can’t believe Kirby’s wife is from Mexico and his Spanish is so comically bad and limited. I always laugh when I hear him. My wife is from DR, and I sometimes jokingly speak Spanish in the “gringo voice” (e.g. “grassy ass”). I didn’t speak a word of Spanish when I met my wife but you’d almost have to go out of your way to not be a little further along than he is being married to someone from Mexico. Especially living in Texas, not like he’s from Darien, CT….as well as having a career on being worldly and into cigars. Not to bag on the guy, I find him entertaining and hope he keeps it up. At least get Duolingo. 5 3
Havanaaddict Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 The Partagas 150 is a very special treat, but the 1994 is a mind blowing experience 😋 1
Popular Post chasy Posted June 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 1, 2025 I’ve been overly harsh to Kirby. I think the dandy thing is overplayed, but he does a good job and you can tell he puts a lot of effort into his production value. I’ll still make fun of his 1920s gentleman schtick, but he does a good job. Let this serve as my apology. 6
Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted June 1, 2025 Max is a true gentleman and a legend of this industry. 7
chasy Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 Yeah he seems like a total G. I’ve bought cigars from his La Casa del Habano in Polanco several times. Will be on Max alert next time I’m there! 2

BlueRidgeFly Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 Good interview. Kirby does a good job doing this stuff. But geez, WTF is he wearing? Double breasted blazer and cream slacks in Mexico… I’d pay to see him show up in shorts and flip flops once, looking like me 😀 or even just 20% more casual. This whole “lifestyle” thing with cigar influencers or whatever they call themselves is annoying. 4
chasy Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 Are there any more great characters in the cigar world similar to Max Gutmann? He was super cool in that interview. I’d love to watch more stuff on similar type guys. 2

I actually started watching his channel for shoe and garment care. Thats what his entire business model (his actual business) is built on. 2
