cgoodrich Posted Sunday at 04:27 AM Posted Sunday at 04:27 AM Can’t keep a great team down. Awesome comeback!!! 2
riderpride Posted Sunday at 05:02 AM Posted Sunday at 05:02 AM That sucked, but a lot worse things have happened. It was a good run, and the Jays surprised a lot of people that slept on them till the end. Some solid bats disappeared again tonight while John Schneider pulled Bo way to early again. Hopefully he comes back next year as the Jays try to improve as too many RISP were stranded while the closers could be improved lol. Congrats to Trey and Clement for their historic playoff performances and to the Dodgers for the victory. It was nice to see the maligned Pages come in and make a play or two defensively. Cheers 1
Popular Post LaoFan Posted Sunday at 07:46 AM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 07:46 AM Doc's moves with Rojas and Pages saved the game. Unlikely heroes. F***in Yamamoto man... that guy is insane. There were so many fantastic plays on both sides. Obviously burns to take the L after a tremendous run at the World Series... but a HELLUVA series. Heart rate up all series long. Wouldn't trade that type of entertainment for anything. Congrats to the behemoth for taking down the little guy who dreamed 😏 4 1
JohnS Posted Sunday at 07:46 PM Posted Sunday at 07:46 PM We quickly forget how slowly the season started for the Toronto Blue Jays during April and May. All the headlines were focused around the uncertainty (at the time) of Vladimir Guerrero's contract extension. They did very well during the trade deadline and gave the Los Angeles Dodgers are real contest. Well done to both sides. Sadly, there's only one winner of a World Series each year! 2
Ford2112 Posted Sunday at 09:59 PM Posted Sunday at 09:59 PM Could have gone either way. That game had me on the edge of my seat. I never expected anyone to beat LA this post season. I wasn't wrong, but the Blue Jays took them to the very end. 1
MoeFOH Posted Sunday at 10:10 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:10 PM Fantastic WS overall. Congrats to the Dodgers and commiserations to the Jays. I think those final two games really showed how fine margins can be in baseball. Some rather unlucky moments for Toronto - getting doubled off on that liner to Kike, the lodged ball, and Kike and Pages colliding and not spilling the ball... etc Kudos to the Dodgers for their prowess with the long ball and pitching. An edge in class in those areas ultimately told. And a final note: that home plate umpiring in G7 was complete dogshit. So many bad calls. Anyhow, on to the Hot Stove! (don't know why I'm excited - it lasts an agonisingly long time... MLB, please introduce a shorter off-season transfer window and end our misery 🙏) 3
LLC Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago If you’re a baseball fan that was a great World Series. As a Blue Jays' fan it is a tough loss but what a season. All the teams except the Dodgers would have loved to be us. I am already looking forward to the World Baseball Classic in March and the next MLB season. 4
LaoFan Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I've unfortunately watched and re-watched the highlights 10x. It's not helping me process how we managed to blow Game 6 or 7. 🫠 2
