It's an exclusive event nowadays. Apart from the recent trend in regard to price rises and the cost of new releases in comparison to before, when Laurent at Habano News can't even secure a ticket to the event, it demonstrates clearly where the marketing is aimed at.

Given the dire reality of life in Cuba, I find the whole ultra premium marketing and the general catering to the wealthy in very poor taste. Additionally the fact the Cuba can't seem to build a reliable supply chain for their prized product makes it laughable that they would put all this effort into the ultra sexy marketing. All the end market consumers know it's a shit show. Similar to your broke friend that insists on driving a Mercedes - everyone knows.

It's a slap in the face to the struggling peoples of Cuba. I wouldn't feel comfortable with it.

Lol. It's ridiculous is how I see it. Just reminds me of that RP promotional video. Hilarious in that regard. The pomposity must love it now the commoners are out. But yes, the juxtaposition with the general people just hurts to see.
