JohnS Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Peter James is known for manufacturing luxury leather-made travel humidors (or colloquially-speaking, bags or cases). They are designed to fit cigars and accessories. A topic on Peter James Cases can be viewed below: Peter James' latest product is the Hydro Lock... Peter James Introduces Hydro Lock February 8, 2025 - Charlie Minato The idea was to upgrade the sealable plastic bag that is commonly used by cigar smokers to store cigars while on the go. Peter James Co. has introduced the Hydro Lock, a new cigar bag that joins the company’s portfolio of leather travel humidors. The Hydro Lock is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a type of plastic with a soft touch that is durable but flexible. When closed, the bag measures 5.5 inches x 10.75, but it can expand to up to 11.75. Inside, there’s a built-in holder for a Boveda-type humidity packet as well as another pocket that can be used to hold lighters or cutters. Thanks to the use of integrated magnets, the bag can fold in half, explaining the 5.5- and 11.75-inch measurements. In its smallest configuration, it can hold fewer than 10 cigars, but the company says that it can expand to hold as many as 35 cigars. Furthermore, Peter James says that the Hydro Lock seals well enough to be submerged up to 5m, or more than 16 feet. While the bag is being targeted at cigar consumers, John Laurendi—founder of Peter James—told halfwheel that he sees many other uses for the bag due to its combination of durability, flexibility, weight and ease of cleaning. For example, his wife has used it as a make-up bag. Each Hydro Lock has an MSRP of $US98 and they began shipping yesterday. Source: https://halfwheel.com/peter-james-introduces-hydro-lock/447206/ 2
