Popular Post JoeyBones777 Posted December 14, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 14, 2024 This is from the original release and therefore has plenty of rest on it. I've smoked through half my bundle at this point and, to be honest, these have been my least favorite of the Fab 5 releases. This starts off with sweet chocolate and toasted bakery notes. It is smooth and the draw and burn is perfect. This cigar is pairing nicely with my morning black coffee. The chocolate has gotten closer to dark chocolate and is mingling nicely with the toasted baked goods note, light pepper and earth. The cigar has remained the same through to the nub. Draw and burn was perfect, as usual, and the flavors were smooth to the end. I had let these sit for awhile because they just weren't very good compared to the other releases I had gotten and I hoped they would open up. My patience was rewarded and these are now one of my favorite blends from Fab 5. My rating is 79, bundle worthy and almost humidor mainstay level. Great with morning coffee! 6 1
El Presidente Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I am smoking them from a Feb 2024 delivery. Like you, one of my mainstays that I will pick over a CC Petit Corona (excluding aged PLPC and Cohiba Siglo II). Honest, tasty, consistent, right price. 1
GVan Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I bought two bundles of the original release - received them on 07/10/23. I thought they were ok at the 90 day point, better at 6 months but not anywhere near my Spada Gordas. Similar to your review, at about the one year point, these became awesome - my rating system would have them a little higher. First bundle is now gone and I'm resting the second bundle that was in the Coolidoor. Can't wait! 1

For me, 50 is an average cigar and it goes up or down from there. At 80 it is a humidor mainstay and will need to stand the test of time to ensure consistency through more than 1 bundle and production. I will get another bundle, which will be from a different production, and let it rest. If that bundle is just as good, it will score over 80. 1
