JMH Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Maybe I should have written down what I voted for... meh that would've taken effort. I'm pretty sure I got the shameless question right though :-P
Tampa1257 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 And the person that said that Cigar Aficionado was the best Cigar Forum has been excommunicated correct?
Tampa1257 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 For the life of me, I totally do not understand people that said that the Partagas Short was inconsistent? Over the years of smoking them to the tune of approximately 7-8 cabs a year, they have for me been the rock solid sweet peppery Partagas earthy and spicy flavor nuggets that are just about a daily smoke for flavor and consistency for me. Sitting here scratching my head going, what do these people smoke?

Yeah, I had the same reaction when I read that. It is one of the MOST consistent cigars IMO. Otherwise, a fair poll and very interesting results. Thanks, Rob.
El Presidente Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 I just report the results ;-) . I was a tad surprised. There was a period of tight Partagas Shorts in the last quarter of 05 which may have swayed the result. Outside of that one of the most consistent Habanos of all.
piranha Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 This should make my next order here easier.:-D

Now THAT's what I hate... tight shorts!!
Jimmy2 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I cant understand that the P2 are well liked.I have smoke over 30 of them and i just don't get it.To each his own.
Mel Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 » I cant understand that the P2 are well liked.I have smoke over 30 of them » and i just don't get it.To each his own. Echo over here Jimmy2. The last one I smoked was descent but not all that. Most inconsistant, Monte 2? oh well. I did feel most of the results were agreable to me, not that it matters much to the rest of the world.;-) Lisa, must be alot of fags on here. That picture of Ken was just to much for you to overcome. I know I was overcome when I saw it.:-(
Jimmy2 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Just smoke about 5 Monte #2 since Super Bowl Sunday and they never ever came close to the bland flavor of the P2. The Monte #2 were flavor bombs layer after layer it was a big differance and reminds me why these are the best Torpedos in the world. I think the P2 is very bland and will never buy again. But Monte#2 and H.Upmann and La Punta are on my favorte list of Torpedos. My List the most consistant made for my taste buds.... Cohiba ROBUSTOS SIGLO Series BOLIVAR CORONAS GIGANTES (The Best Churchill) Monte #2 MAGNUM 46 SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA HABANA EL PRINCIPE SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA HABANA LA PUNTA PARTAGAS SHORTS BOLIVAR PETIT CORONAS H. Upmann Monarcas
Tampa1257 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 » H.Upmann and La Punta are on my favorite list of Torpedos. Jimmy2, Just to clarify, but the San Cristobal de la Habana "La Punta" is a Campanas, not a Pirámides or Torpedo. The Campanas is about an inch shorter than the Piramides.
Van55 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 » I cant understand that the P2 are well liked.I have smoke over 30 of them » and i just don't get it.To each his own. Good lord, Jimmy. If you don't like them why in the hell would you have smoked over 30 of them at so young an age? I haven't even tried one yet because I think it's way too soon.
Jimmy2 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I smoke 5 sticks a day i dont have time to aged them LOL..
Girardian Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Interesting results. Always good to see the different strokes of different folks.
pittesq Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 » Interesting results. Always good to see the different strokes of different » folks. Exactly. Tastes will vary. For example I was impressed with the Trinadad extra i had.
