Probably go nicely with the box of Upmann Coronas Junior I purchased yesterday. Not that it would accommodate anything much bigger than that. Meh for me. 

An ashtray needs some weight, some colour, plenty of room, can hold a DC and 50 + ring gauge and can withstand the elements. It's not that hard.

I actually quite like the raw finish. Would be curious to see how it patinas over time.

Cigars rarely leave my hand while I’m smoking so only need a deep enough receptacle to avoid ash blowing everywhere and having to empty it after every smoke. That said, the aluminum one looks kinda cool.

Bit dull and modern looking for my taste. Can always recycle the aluminium when that becomes scarce I suppose.

My biggest issue was the price point and the fact that the press release says "that each piece will include “marks from the production process enhancing its character." "

 

Sounds like code for " we couldn't make these blemish free, so we are saying that the blemishes add character and increasing the price by $25".
