unaslob
Has anybody seen these yet? They’re being sold as aged and have a card distinguishing that as well as an additional band with “vintage” on it is this coming directly from Habanos or is this something that is an aftermarket edition? NSXCIGAR
This is a distributor program, in this case Cubacigar (now Laguito 1492) which is the Benelux distributor. I've seen others distributors have similar programs as well as some retailers like C.Gars Ltd. in the UK.

unaslob
So nothing by particularly different regarding the blend. Just a box that was sat aside for purpose of aging, right?
BrightonCorgi
You are getting cigars that have been thoroughly inspected by the distributor.

But as @BrightonCorgi points out they've at least had every stick physically inspected by someone for what that's worth.
nKostyan
The assignment of vintage cigars by regional distributors is more like fraud. Can you imagine what would also be done with vintage port wine?True vintage cigars rolled from tobacco of the reference harvest. Vintage crop - is tobacco grown in the absence or minimum amount of rain. In such difficult conditions, the plant secrets of oil, which, being on the surface of the leaves, helps to save moisture inside. It is this fragrant oil that we see on the our best cigar samples. A true vintage Havabanos cigars: Reserva Cosecha, some LEs, some special editions, rolled from tobacco from the best (vintage) harvest of one year. But it can also be a regular cigar. To "catch" such a vintage cigars, you should know that the harvests were reference for several years in a row, then ligero-seco-volado (which have 3-2-1 years of aging) can get into the same mixture. It's not enough to just age the box and do quality control to get a real vintage...
