Questions for Alex Gonzalez?

The cigar world is full of interesting folk. I love spending time  with passionist’s and that is what I will be doing this week when I undertake a Deep Dive with Alex Gonzalez formerly of LCDH Comodoro Havana fame and today overseeing his own brand in the USA.  We will discuss his journey and the ups and downs that go hand in hand.

How about the following:

• Alex, how different is the Cuban method for rolling cigars than the Non-Cuban way? I mean, is there is notable difference, maybe related to producing a certain type of draw?

I know Rob that the question above sounds like a number of related questions but I'm sure you get the gist.

I wouldn't mind hearing how he found blending non Cuban tobacco after working with Cuban tobacco? I remember Hamlet being quoted somewhere along the lines of 'like trying to get flavour from stones' when he first started working with it and wouldn't mind seeing if this is a universal experience for Cuban blenders?
