sam Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 I will be in Portugal the later part of October. Any suggestions on where to buy and smoke? Thanks. —sam
Li Bai Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 There are LCDHs in both Porto and Lisbon, that's your best shot but I wouldn't expect too much if I were you.

Ken Gargett Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 you'll find some smokes but best idea is to bring your own. agree with that. plenty of great places in Oporto to smoke - i don't know Lisbon quite so well. down by the river at one of the many cafes and bars, where they permit it, ideal. 2
Glass Half Full Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Hi Sam - Went to Porto and Lisbon last fall and loved it. I found the LCDHs were definitely the way to go but one thing to note. --> I was told (repeatedly) that you can't buy singles in Portugal unless they are in cello or in tubos. That means, if you don't bring your own, you'll be stuck to buying expensive sticks that are too young to enjoy fully. (For example, current year Siglo II' and III's for 40 and 50 Euro. As for smoking cigars, I was fortunate to be staying in hotels with lovely courtyards (of which there are many), and no one minded my enjoying a cigar outdoors. I saw some interesting boxes for sale, and also found that the LCDH offerings (while limited) changed every couple of days.
