Hey guys, was looking for some reviews for the fat fundy, but can't find any.

MoeFOH was gracious and let me swap my prize for the fundys instead if I wanted, but I need some reviews before I can make that call..

Can anyone who tried them give some tasting notes? 😊

If they’re free then why worry about it, perfect time to try.

Yes ofc, but I can only try the fundys or the trinity, not both. I'm torn between them, since I love the fundy vitola, but not so sure about its flavors.

Without trying either so far....I'd roll with the Trinity. Mostly because I've heard really good things so far. If you go the fat fundie route I'm sure you'll be good too as it's a blend that was selected by a handful of the members here (so at least you know quite a few different people enjoyed it).

I'd call that a first world problem. Everyone (me included) will have an opinion. Don’t overthink it, they’re just cigars.

It's not even a problem. I just thought it would be okay to ask what they taste in a forum like this, to make a better choice.

Worst thing. Setting major life expectations based on others subjective opinions. I mean who would buy a box of something without trying one first. I mean, you'd have to be some kind of idiot. Heh.

I resemble that remark 😠

I thought the Fat Fundy had a lot in common with the BR Petit 109.😀

I’ve smoked 5 or 6 and have purchased 3 bundles. Too early to tell but seem promising. I’m not a reviewer-maybe I’ll give it a shot at some point.😀

I’ll work on it, just didn’t want to jump the gun with ROTT reviews. I want to do the blend justice but I’m happy I bought 3 bundles.

ROTT are valuable as well. See where a thing goes in 6-12 months. I didn’t really understand that until I became an FOH member. 😳

Are these a Honduran blend like the nudies?

I lit up my first fundy yesterday. Great stick with plenty of cedar and some sweetness. It's hard to describe but very enjoyable.

Honduran tobacco from what I understand.

Honduran wrapper and binder (Sun grown) with a Honduran/Nicaraguan filler. Two different strains of Honduran leaf.

Had one of these today Fat Fundies today. I really liked it. I don’t have time for a full review today but some notes: flawless construction. Baking spices (think nutmeg/cinnamon), a small amount of dough, and white pepper.

I never really understood when people said ‘white pepper’ in reviews. I do not like black pepper and avoid a lot of Esteli cigars like the plague because of it. But this white pepper taste in the FF gives you a light, steady spice you want without hitting you over the head with it. This is in the 90s all day long. I ‘need’ to try another to narrow down the rating.
