djrey Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Pulled out one of my favorite Corona Gordas for the review. 2019 box date for this one. Nice oily medium brown wrapper on this one. Pre draw is a toasted hay with a touch of chocolate. First third is light/medium body. Mostly grass/hay notes with some chocolate sweetness. Burn is great. Second third ramps up to medium body and there is a nice woodiness coming through. The Grassiness becomes almost a funky fermented note, but in a good way. Think fresh mown field on a hot summer day. Interesting. Final third finishes up all wood and chocolate with some baking spices, touch of pepper. This cigar was a journey and a good one at that. All over the place. 3
Chibearsv Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 I get that funky taste in my 2019 JL 1 and love it. So I'll make that my official guess - JL 1. 😁 2
