Mold Question

I just got a box of HUHC that had some small patches of white mold on 6 or 7 of the cigars. It brushed off easily and I didn't see anything on the feet of the cigars. I'm concerned they will 'infect" the rest of my Coolerdor which is worth many thousands thanks to the Price hike 2 years ago. Is there a chance the mold could migrate from the box? Has anyone had an issue with mold returning after wiping them off?

I wouldn't be too concerned. Wrap the HUHC box in wax paper if you are concerned and do not plan to smoke them any time soon.

In your scenario, I’d do exactly as you have done. Wipe it off - but I’d also be checking periodically (every six months perhaps?) to ensure it has not returned. Same as I do for my entire collection really. Figure there’s little harm taking a conservative approach to this kind of thing.

Had that happen recently. Brushed it off with no ill effects.

Another option (probably overkill) could be a large zip lock over the one box?  But I probably wouldn't worry too much. 

I have heard of some cautious collectors also doing this to defend against potential beetle infestations being able to spread.

Mold spores are everywhere. Deny them water and don’t worry. Of course you can always burn them one at a time to be sure!

I've never seen mold go box to box like beetles can.
