Has to be another woodworker in here somewhere. As a hobbyist I find myself wanting another saw. No need for high end but I see Grizzly is having a sale. Any thoughts on the Shop fox W1888? For half price it ticks all of my boxes. Mostly projects. AKA knife handles, the occasional humidor, some ( not many ) furniture projects. As I said this is a hobby, not one of my professions.

I’m an amateur woodworker, but about 98% strictly hand tools. I looked up reviews online and they are ok to good. At half price it might be worth it since it sounds like you aren’t making a living on it. I have had some exposure to other Grizzly products. Just make sure you check everything before powering up; belt tension, tightness of bolts and nuts, flatness/squareness of bed. Wish I could be of better help.

I have a Grizzly Jointer, planer, belt sander (all 220V), and a disk sander. They have been reliable tools for 20 years. I've made a ton of Chippendale and Federal furniture. Only thing I would add is if you have the wiring, get a 220V saw. The 220V tools whip through wood. My table saw is a Powematic 2000 5HP/220V. I would rather have a Saw Stop, but knock on wood I'm careful. I have nothing but good to say about Grizzly products.
