jazzboypro Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Hello all, My wife got back from Cuba last night and brought back a box of Romeo y Julietta Dianas. That box has a 3 layer packaging format. The cigar box itself has a plastic film on it to protect the red lacquer finish on the box. The box is then put in a thin suede envelop and the whole thing is put in a cardboard box. The box code is located underneath the cardboard box. My question is should I remove the cardboard box, suede envelope and plastic film before putting the box in my humidor ? Many thanks
SCgarman Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 I definitely would. Just the cigars in box in the humi. Keep all the other stuff in the closet storage.
JohnS Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 I would take the cigars out and put them into my general humidor too.
ChangBang Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 If it's from Cuba maybe give it the freezer treatment...just in case.
jazzboypro Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 Thanks, I did remove the extra packaging but I will put it aside just in case I need it down the road.
Fuzz Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Write the box code on either the inside of the lacquer box or one of the inserts, just in case you lose the cardboard box.

MagicalBikeRide Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Similar to others, I’d take the sticks out and put them in my singles tray.
