I went with the model

I liked the compact size along with the WIFI gateway (which meant I could check the hygrometer when I was away)

Unfortunately I found that the calibration was inconsistent:

  1. Hard to calibrate (notwithstanding the methodology; salt, or Boveda packs)
  2. Drift. All five different units in different "wineadors / containers" drifted over time

I run the Govees with the wi-fi repeater and have been very happy. Low battery alerts, thresholds for temperature and humidity range alerts. The app gets ongoing updates, they added my lounge unit to the supported list for the repeater recently which surprised me.

I agree — it’s more advantageous to have these smaller units (w/ WiFi) and easily replaced AAA battery.

I have both the little box ones and the larger ones that runs off of AA batteries.
I like these the most https://us.govee.com/collections/12-off/products/govee-bluetooth-hygrometer-thermometer-h5075-3-pack?irclickid=Qf9w3BW1rxyNWc7RgdwO53B5UkFXcX1Z22Oz1A0&irgwc=1&utm_source=impact_12845&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=Slickdeals_LLC. I can see the temp and rh when I’m in a box instead of pulling out my phone and also have the app at a distance.
