Lancelot N1 2023 (NRWMO)

I sputter to explain how last Sunday I shot 2 under par while playing with my wife. My companions point out that I am too ugly to be married, and they've never met her. I swagger back to the carts and light this bad boy up after smoking a drive down the center into a stiff wind. Ha!

Too bad I leave 4 iron short and right of the green in a difficult position and fail to convert another birdie. Oh well. At least I've got a lancelot going now, despite the wind having stymied my early attempts to start my lighter. Leather and tobacco. Good burn. Terrible chip and a 2 putt par. The rest of the back nine I'd prefer not to mention, but this N1 burned true through hill and Dale, marsh and grass. Thankfully no snakes out today. Made birdie on 16 and drove the green on 17 for a second birdie after missing eagle. Told John he better not step on my cigar, as I stepped back and....stepped on my own cigar.

Finished with a 14 over 86 after driving 2 out of bounds on 18. All in all, a great day.

This cracked me up. Funny how golf with your buddies is such a similar experience for all of us. Love it.
