So my buddy showed me this old lighter. It's heavy and looks legit. I'll try and date the thing but thought some of you might know better. Flint still strikes at any rate.

Very nice. Dupont Ligne 1 in a classic pattern. Likely to be legit given the signs of age and matching box. Next question is: does it hold gas?

Definitely Ligne 1 - probably 30+ yrs old...

Whether it holds gas - the other issue is finding gas for it. Back in the day when you removed the fill ring cover there was a colour code. Not sure if there is still that type of fuel/adapter around these days.

They're easily serviced here in the UK, will set you back around £60-70.

Easily filled too, one of the plastic adapters from a cab of gas will do the job, I was recommended to avoid using the metallic ones you can buy online.
