BoliDan Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Never had red inscription as far as I know. On the front. Davidoff should be printed on the center and dom perignon should be to right where the stamp is. 1
Popular Post NSXCIGAR Posted September 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 3, 2023 70s and 80s can be very difficult as there was a lot of Cuba being Cuba. Variations in all sorts of areas--packaging, printing, stamping etc. 4 hours ago, BoliDan said: Never had red inscription as far as I know. On the front. It appears the authentic stamp can range from brown-ish to burgundy-ish color but I can't recall ever seeing authentic boxes with such a red as this example. And there is an awful lot of bleed and run to the ink with indistinct characters. And I'd agree, I can't seem to find a box that doesn't have the "25 Davidoff" stamp directly under the clasp. The warranty seal is also on the left side on every box I've seen. Could be Cuba being Cuba but combined with the other discrepancies else I'd say this box is almost certainly fugazi. Of course I wouldn't touch a box like this without full provenance anyway. 6
BrightonCorgi Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 The bands appear to have the looseness one would expect with a cigar of this age, but the box does not inspire confidence. 1
