Popular Post Ford2112 Posted August 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 5, 2023 My buddy bought a house in Athens so we are going out there from the 5th to the 21st of next month. I already know Miamis so I'll be popping in there as well as whatever other shops I can get to. Spending 5 days in Naxos and 3 days in Rome. Looking so forward to a vacation as life has been a real shitshow of late. I'm sure many are more well traveled to these areas so any suggestions are welcome. I'll give a rundown of stock while I'm there. Naxos is where my friend's son-in-law has family. Place looks amazing! 6
ha_banos Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Should be a treat! First advice, find Tavernas and have Katsiki Giouvesti 😁 Thank me later. The airport in Athens was a washout. But El Habanero Athens had a selection of Cubans including a few boxes of the regional Omiros about a month ago. You'll find nothing on Naxos I guess except a great time! 2 2
Ford2112 Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 Naxos is chillin time! Yeah my buddy said Miamis had a decent inventory and that was 2 months ago. I figure I'll try the Cigar and Rizos as well. Thanks for the tips!
Popular Post ChangBang Posted August 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted August 6, 2023 I went to Greece back in 2021 - did Athens, Naxos, Santorini, and Crete Only stopped by Miamis during my trip as I brought a lot of my own. Decent stock as that kinda was the start of the pandemic shortage. I got a HDM dc and a fundy if my memory serves correct. Cool store that was in town with a big walk-in humidor In Naxos I stayed by Agia Anna Beach, but rented a scooter and went around the island. Hiking up mt Zas gave a pretty cool viewpoint of the island and surrounding islands. Should try their Kitron, pretty good! Hung out by the Salt and Sugar chairs on the beach. Free if you drink/eat This one was by Maragkas Beach 8 1
ha_banos Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Alexander's Cigar Lounge - Hotel Grande Bretagne. I didn't get to go, but was recommended to me in Athens. 2 1
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted September 5, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted September 5, 2023 Leaving tomorrow. Miamis says they have had no real cuban stock for about a year. I imagine it will be the same for all the shops. I'll give an update on things when I go. Luckily I have some nudies and a few other goodies to bring with me. 5
JohnS Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Wonderful time of the year to go, that's for sure! 👍
BigGuns Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Naxos is chillin time? As it should be...check out Santana Beach Club near Agia Anna. And be sure to take some pics at the Temple of Apollo (somebody flip this over for me, please...I tried a bunch of times and can't figure it out) And if you're up for a little volta, check out the fallen statue of Dionysos in Apollonas. Hope you're having a great time, Robert! 3
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted September 8, 2023 Author Popular Post Posted September 8, 2023 Went to Old Town Athens today. Picked up a few singles to smoke. Not much in the way of stock but there were some options. Pricing wasn't as bad as I expected. I smoked a Mille Fleur Party and it was good. El Habanero. Nice guy cool shop. 8

Did they still have the Greek regionals?

Popular Post X-Man Posted November 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 8, 2023 Thanks to @ha_banos recommendation, Buddy visited El Habanero, but found mostly Cohibas and Trinidads. He returned with two Wide Eddies. That sums up the current state of availability of Cuban cigars. We are grateful to have FOH and 24:24, although I am often not fast enough to score. Never imagined this hobby would evolved to what it is today. Cheers! 5

And it's a neat little shop, just needs more stock, as everywhere else right now. 4
