Fireball Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 I am travelling to Iceland in a few weeks for their ‘Culture Night’. I haven’t been able to find out too much cigar-wise there. Anyone have any experience? It’s a small, relatively health conscious country so I may be out of luck, but I wanted to ask. Thanks.
LordAnubis Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 Yeah when I travelled through didn’t have much luck. Think I found a pub or two that allowed you to smoke though. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 The approach to the airport is pretty cool. Drastic terrain.

dangarneau Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 As of 2022 there was one cigar shop in the country - in Reykjavik: https://www.bjork.is/ There was one other "tobacco" shop but it was mostly souvenirs and no cigars that I recall. The airport has duty-free cigars but prices are even crazy by today's standards and I remember selection being limited. Maybe it has improved?" https://www.dutyfree.is/en/category/tobacco/cigars?storetype=2 Have a great time - I have been all over the world as an architect and photographer and so far nothing beats Iceland. 1 3

I guess the climate, temperature, and environment lend to that preference.

Both tobacco shops are run by the same person. He is the only authorized Habanos distributor in Iceland. Prices could be found online before going, the proprietor and his partner were very gracious. With Iceland taxes and Habanos prices, I don’t think you’d be buying boxes to take home- but it’s nice to know they are there. And yes, Iceland is a gorgeous as ever. 3

Bjork has two stores now. On the walking street is the gift shop but they opened another store at Síðumúli 13. That store became Habanos specialist. They do have various brands notthing special really but quite a good range and selections. They do not list everything on their site its worth a trY I guess its too late, should have seen it sooner… https://www.bjork.is
