Accompanied my wife to the Derm today as she was getting a little something on her scalp removed. The Derm used a punch to get the depth/clean margins rather than a scalpel. Basically a handle on a 6 or 8 mm punch

Obviously the tool that was used was sterile. Also very sharp. It made me wonder if anyone here uses a surgical punch on your cigars?

I’ve used these for tissue punches.  Usually inexpensive if you buy them by the box from a scientific supply store, but honestly a cigar punch is probably made of a metal that holds an edge better.

but, in case you get tempted to mutilate yourself whilst having a cigar, this Amazon listing could give you ideas for other uses:

The biopsy punch. Who knew they were used for body piercing. Ouch
