I love these below!  I can't recall the last time I wrote and posted a letter or a postcard.

Love that you could simply put  a name, city, state......and that they would arrive. ;)

This is awesome.  Hand written notes/cards/postcards are so classy.  Taking the time to slow down and write, stamp, send such a thing is just as meaningful as the sentiment being expressed.  Pick up a fine writing instrument from time to time and scribble away.

Over the past few years I’ve taken to writing notes of appreciation at least every few months.  The fact that someone has to schlep it across the country or world is part of the charm!

I try to always send thank you notes after the holidays, and I occasionally send a post card while traveling. I would like to write more letters, but who would/could read them.  Whenever I read a well written letter (e.g. the letters between from historical ikes of George W. and Benjamin F.) I am impressed by their ability to express a coherent thought without any spelling or writing errors.  Typing and emails have warped my writing brain.

I handwrite thank you notes several times a year. More often correspondence cards rather than true postcards, but sometimes the latter feels more appropriate. There is a sense of thoughtfulness and intimacy with handwritten correspondence that electronic means can never fully replicate.

I do handwritten Christmas and birthday cards. When I share cigars with friends who are long distance I'll often write a small handwritten note with my tasting notes or pairing ideas and slip it in the package. I love fountain pens so it gives me a chance to use one and different inks now and again.

I rarely do. However, I still receive three Christmas cards every year... typically picture cards of evolving families.

I think that it falls under the same category as face to face conversations ( versus SMS/TXT).

Just seems more tangible...

Outside of the Christmas Holidays only occasionally send out mail.  Mostly a check where I don't use the app the receiver uses.  I can not tolerate all the different payment apps people use.  So I stay old skool in a few cases.
