GoodStix Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Plan to travel on vacation to Paris and Rome. Would like to bring a portable humi with 20 loose CCs, pre-cut for smoking, bands on (though can remove bands if you recommend). I assume it’s ok, and no customs fee, to bring some CCs for personal enjoyment on vacation?
NSXCIGAR Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 All EU countries allow lesser of 50 cigars/250 grams. 1
ha_banos Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Don't need to worry about the weight. 50 cigars per person. https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F804?lang=en And don't worry about the bands or pre cutting. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 20 cigars? How long are you going for? When I travel for extended times, I roll each cigar in cellophane so they'll stay fresh for the trip and I can grab any amount of cigars without worrying on damage. A plastic framed guillotine has been fine in my toiletry bag for over 20 years. You can certainly pre-cut cigars, but you can pre-cut the one's on the go at the hotel. 1

Sounds like a short break 😁 Seriously. 2 weeks coming up in summer. 30 cigars I'm thinking. 2
01Vert Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Three day trip? lol. I have brought them to Europe with no issues. Plastic cutter and I buy a lighter once in country. 1 1
Popular Post ChangBang Posted March 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 20, 2023 No worries with the 50 cigar limit and bands are fine. Some folks have said no need to precut before your trip, but I'm going to recommend you cut them! And it's not because I think your cutter will be confiscated but because precut - you can draw test them at home. Imagine setting up for a relaxing night with a cigar and drink only to cut the cigar and realize it's plugged. If you bring a perfecdraw that will def need to be checked, but also if you're at a cigar bar do you really want to be digging around hoping the draw opens up? Or be blue in the face trying to get some smoke on a tight draw? Nah that's a pass, I want a perfect draw so I can concentrate on relaxing and enjoying my environment! 4 2
GoodStix Posted March 20, 2023 Author Posted March 20, 2023 Thanks guys, much appreciated 👍 Yes @ChangBang draw test at home, enjoy away 🙂
DrWu Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Living here in the US I always take the bands off to avoid problems here at home. I bring a cutter and cut them there. Good luck and happy travels! 1
ChangBang Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Oh I've def taken bands off when coming back into the US, but why bother if they're allowed at that country.
