I recently retired after almost 25 years working a large company with tens of thousands of corporate employees. The greatest day of those many years came when an unfortunate drone allowed her teenage son to have access to her corporate phone. He used the opportunity to hit "Reply All" to a seasonal email from the CEO and sent the message "PARTY ON BITCHES!" to the entire company.

When I was a teacher we use to have to attend these in service days where we basically sat around and listened to a lot of people with no public speaking experience give us presentations on the dumbest shit you could imagine.  One day we had to listen to an hour long talk on sexual harassment by someone who would have put a coke head to sleep.  Starting his talk, he asked if anyone could tell him what sexual harassment was, like if a baseball coach patted his player on the behind after hitting a homerun.  Is that it?  What if it was a female softball team with a male coach?  

Fast forward a week and the teacher softball game was being planned.  One of the team leaders sent out an email stating "that if any of his players hit any home runs, they will receive several pats on the behind by me.  If you have any issues, you can speak to my lawyer."  Although it was only suppose to go to those playing, he accidentally sent that email to every employee of the school district.

many year ago, a friend sent out a joke to about 150 of her friends. no big deal.

then one of her friends - no one i knew - responded with a supposedly private email about the state of her marriage, saying how she'd had it with the husband, ripped into him endlessly. all his physical shortcomings and everything. it was time to finish things. yes, he'd be devastated (i was not all that sure he would be) but and so on and so. finished by saying that he had no idea it was coming so please don't tell anyone. and then she hit reply all. 

the best bit was five minutes later, she sent out an email to everyone saying she was recalling her previous email. like that works!!

Ages ago when I started dating my wife we went to her friend's cottage for a weekend.  She was an awesome host, great cook, lots of fun and liked to tie one on.   Come next week we get the "thank you for coming" email.  Which was great.  I saw that my then GF responded with a nice note and then I thought I'd respond to her privately.  I wrote.  "Hey, your friend Sally is awesome.  She's such a loveable lush!"    I hit send. All good.  A few minutes later. Sally replies with "I AM NOT A LOVEABLE LUSH.  Why would you offend me so?!".  😬As an IT guy I still have no clue how I managed to do that.  But.  FTR, she was a loveable lush.
