Movie was OK but the book, by the irreplaceable Dan Jenkins, was spectacularly hilarious. If you haven't read it, do yourself a favor. As the man himself said, "Laughter is the only thing that cuts trouble down to a size where you can talk to it."

I enjoyed many already mentioned.  I'll add The Longest Yard to the list.  Prisoners versus prison guards, for betting money.  Starring Burt Reynolds in all his glorious smugness.

I went to High School with Chris Romano, one of the creators of this series. He also played Sammy.

Nice!

Hilarious show and character. The expired gummies episode is fantastic

Sarah Silverman spoke highly of him in ' The Bedwetter'

Cheers

Oh.... You mean American soccer. Get with the Program. Nothing like some face painted roid rage and urine replacement. Remember the uproar over the kids that were laying down in the middle of the street like they did in the movie?

Yes!!!!  I’m an idiot. Mistook Necessary Roughness for this. This is the one.

And to answer your question - I absolutely remember the uproar. this movie came out when I was playing high school ball. Everyone was terrified that idiots would try to mimic it. And so they did…scene was removed from the movie and trailers mid-release, if I recall. So we were relegated to poorly painted skeleton faces and linebackers blathering nonsense to quarterbacks to get in their heads.
