Popular Post BoxPSI_ed Posted October 14, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 14, 2022 I had the pleasure of visiting the Fincato store today. What an amazing place, they have incredible historical pieces on display, including pipes, tobacco tins, cutters, and books galore. The layout is nice as well. It was crowded today and I needed to wait a bit before checking out their stash. I worked with Fabio and he stated he is having a difficult time getting in consistent stock for the myriad of reasons we all know already. Their supply was extremely limited and what they had in stock (HU Connie B, HU No 2, and a few RyJs) I have already and felt no need to purchase more. They had plenty of Italian branded stuff as well. I hope to stop by Renzio’s tomorrow to check out what’s going on there. I will be headed to Bologna in a few days but I don’t think I will have much luck finding anything their either or where to even start. I knew this could be the case so I bought a few to cover all bases. 12
shokao Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Even considering the low stocks, you made a pretty solid selection. HdM EP2 is one of my all time favorite.
Popular Post tjkoala Posted October 14, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 14, 2022 This is the same LCDH my elderly father kept accidentally telling the gentleman helping us "gracias" instead of "grazie" during our visit. 10/10 would recommend, especially having to deal with us every other day we were in Rome. 1 6

BrightonCorgi Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 A box of limited edition Toscano's would be worth picking up on trip. Nice memento box. There's a smaller figurado special edition box that is really nice looking. The cigars are great too for a change. 1

Which ones in particular or any S/E across the board?

ElJavi76 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I’ll be there in 2 weeks. I emailed them a few weeks ago to ask about the Ramón Alloñes LE jar… they replied and said they had no current stock and not sure even they might have any. You can never count to find something like that at Duty Free. I’ve made that mistake in other parts already. @Puros Y Vino if we may ask… where did you find your jar? I know you mentioned on your two weeks in Italy thread that you did have some luck in finding a jar. Cheers

Which ones in particular or any S/E across the board? The one I know of is called "Il Moro" and it's one of the very few Toscano still made in Italy with Italian tobacco (most other Toscano are not). It's quite big (but can be cut in half like all Toscano) and very expensive but if you want a really special Toscano that is the one I would suggest (never tried myself though, the price always put me off).
BoxPSI_ed Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 No such luck in finding any special Toscanos in Rome or Bologna. I did have a great time at Reinzos. I picked up a Trinidad Topes but decided to have the RyJ instead. Great place to hang out, people watch and have your favorite beverage. 3
BoxPSI_ed Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 I went back to Caffe’ Reinzo today and had a Padron 50th Anniversary with a dram of Lagavulin 21 YO. Pure bliss! I want to give a shout out to Puro Y Vinos for mentioning this awesome place! This is what makes this community so great. Thank you! I was near the Colloseum and was able to snag one iL Moro 2013 based on Enduin’s recommendation (Thank you!), it definitely can be cut down to two cigars. They go through a lot of trouble with the presentation for one cigar. Based on the size of the box I was thinking you would get at least 5. It’s just one in an oversized box. Fingers crossed on what Roma Fiumincino Duty Free has in stock, I am not expecting much, but one can hope. 1 1
