Popular Post Bill Hayes Posted August 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2022 Partagas Mille Fleur - edited the title. Think it's 2022 not 2020. Just arrived from 24:24. A bit old school, a little rough around the edges and nice company with a stout. And the cigar wasn’t bad either. Paired this Partagas PC with a nice pastry stout that was a little bourbon barrel-aged. The slight bourbon edge and hint of sweetness seemed to work pretty well. The Partagas was ROTT and performed well. I like the rustic nature of this PC with a touch of Cuban twang and a hint of old school Partagas twang. Not as much as you’d get with a PSP short, Presidente or 898 but still present. A little one dimensional but I like the woody, peppery profile with a hint of forest floor mulch. The burn was very good, as was the structure. A few little cracks here and there but didn’t affect the experience at all. It was Saturday afternoon late and was warming up on my front porch, waiting for a classic beef stew to slow cook and to watch my Tigers play in the AFL. We had to win to stay in the race for finals. At this stage it looks like it may be a Brisbane V Tigers first Elimination final in Brisbane (Where the Tigers won the Premiership in 2020 BTW) so look out Lions. Overall, great experience - cigar, stout, stew and red wine all contributed with the Tigers winning. The cigar wouldn’t be winning any beauty contests or enter the 90’s for a score but it suited my needs perfectly. Cheers. 22
Chucko8 Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Nice review. I feel the Lions will probably pip them though in that match at this stage. 1
