A buddy of mine couldn't figure out what this was.  It came to him as a gift. The Cuban Cigar Website doesnt have any Hoyo Regionals listed.  I guess this is an unusual fake.  Maybe they took the regional band off an authentic cigar?

It is a fake. Since its inception in 2005, the Regional Edition Series only used marcas outside the Global Brands (Cohiba, Montecristo, H.Upmann, Hoyo de Monterrey, Partagas and  Romeo y Julieta) and Niche Brands (Trinidad, Cuaba and San Cristobal de La Habana). Since 2019, when brands were re-classified, we've seen the advent of Cuaba and San Cristobal Regional Editions (but not yet in Trinidad).

I don't know if it's more of a prank because it sort of looks like they took the band of a HDM DC plus a Cuban regional band and smacked it on a cigar.

Haven't seen a fake ER band before. Nice. 

I do wish they would use the Hoyo DC band on more cigars though. It's a classic, iconic band. Maybe this will inspire HSA.
