Popular Post Tdm_86 Posted July 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 24, 2022 The Vigia is one I consider a true Fat Bastard at 54rg x 110mm. Short and fat like a Coke can. I’m not one to discriminate on cigar size, although I have found myself drifting to the skinnies of late, but 54 is nearing my limit of being comfortable to smoke. This example came from a 3 pack of tubos, factory code unknown but I did note ‘2019’. Pre-light Very nice looking wrapper, densely packed. It smells of sweet cedar. Despite it being quite hard, the draw is real easy. The cold draw tastes like the aroma off the wrapper. First half Immediately very flavorful, on the draw there is this buttery creaminess that is followed by a pleasant light cedar. When I retrohale, there is a bit of cinnamon added to the cream. Very pleasant from the get-go. As it progresses, the burn is razor sharp and requires no attention. The draw is still very loose, I do have to watch myself to not heat it up too much. Second half More intensity to the profile. It’s all doughnut and coffee&cream now. Still a bit of cedar strewn throughout. And on the back palate there is this almond quality that’s kind of hard to grasp. The retrohale still has that bit of cinnamon spice that morphs into something earthy as I smoke it close to the end. Conclusion As much as an odd size I think this is, the quality and profile are outstanding. I absolutely loved this, so much so that I only took the 1 picture. It’s not a strong cigar by any stretch of the imagination, neither in strength nor body. The flavors are very much there and extremely well balanced, making for a stellar experience. I thought this one was so good, it might almost be worth it at the new pricing (but not really). 96/100 15
El Presidente Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 You nailed the Vigia profile when at their best. Doughnuts (cinnamon) and Coffee/Cream. Hard not to love 1

RDB Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 It is the stupidest size for a cigar. I have a great box, but I shy away from them. Would swap 1:1 for Coloniales any day. 1
Wookie Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 I don’t love the size but the review was spot on. I have a lot of vigia boxes and I’m glad I do. Just need to keep perspective on when you’re smoking one…..always the first of the day and when I know I may have to lay it down for later due to time constraints. I find they taste just fine 5 hours later when I might be finishing it. 1
