Homer Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Any recommendations of cigar shops in Vienna Austria? My wife goes to Vienna in the end of June. She does not like buying cigars but is willing to visit one shop.
Popular Post chris12381 Posted June 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2022 Cigarstore Hazar Margaretenstr. 42, Vienna 1040, AT Great selection and Ercan is very helpful. I picked up boxes of Austrian Regionals, 1 box of Romeo y Julieta Escudos 2007 EL and 2 boxes of 2002 La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 2 several years ago. Also some singles of Partagas Lusitana Gran Reserva and what was left of a box of very old Punch Royal Selection No. 12. It was a nice day. 5

I won't expect there to be anything special but I will send them e-mail and ask. Any idea of prices in Austria.

Any idea of prices in Austria I don't remember them being particularly "outrageous" as in Canada or UK outrageous but I'm guessing you'd probably pay 8€ for a single Montecristo No. 4, 20-22€ for a Cohiba Robusto. I could be off though.
Homer Posted June 19, 2022 Author Posted June 19, 2022 How about this one? It`s near the hotel. CIGARS Zigarrengeschäft WESSELY Weihburggasse 3, 1010 Wien
chris12381 Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 I went to that store as well. My recollection was that because it was centrally located in the tourist / hotel downtown shopping area had a great selection of well-cared for singles. I don't remember seeing many boxes of cigars. Lots and lots of singles, in fact quite a bit of of EL and hard to find singles (think VR Don Alejandro, San Luis Rey Regios and Ramón Allones Allones No. 2)
Popular Post Glass Half Full Posted May 24, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 24, 2025 Reviving an old thread in case any are traveling to or through Vienna… I went to Hazar’s (tiny B&M) cigar shop today here near the “museum district” (which is well regarded w/in many cigar communities). After laughing at my first question (“Do you have any of the RE’s or anything special?”), he replied “ You were not joking?!?” Adding, “We receive our Cuban cigars on Wednesday morning…And we sell out by noon that same day.” Entirely separately, for those traveling to Prague, I found their LCDH was well stocked this week. Nothing truly remarkable but plenty of marcas / vitolas. Hope this helps some travelers! -c 7 3
Gubbins Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I’m off to Vienna tomorrow, does anyone know of any lounges to smoke cigars indoors? It looks like there was a blanket ban in 2019, but I’m remaining hopeful there is at least one or two places that have some sort of loop hole? Failing that is anyone aware of any good terraces? Cheers guys!
Garand Posted February 25 Posted February 25 There is only one smoking lounge in/near Vienna that belongs to a cigar shop (which is good and should have Cuban inventory). It is in Wiener Str. 26, 2320 Schwechat. You can come there fairly easily if you go in to Vienna via the airport. It is only one or two stops with the train from the airport. The last time I visited there in 2024 I got a nice box of Exclusivo Austria from San Cristobal there. It is a Habanos Specialist store, so you can probably even get some nice boxes. Have fun! A couple of months ago I was even able to buy a box of Partagas Maduro No. 3 in one of the cigar shops in Vienna!
