Popular Post bishop532 Posted January 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2022 Well, the weather here warmed up for a minute but the cold came back tonight - back to single digits F. It seemed like a good night for a Tatuaje Black Petit Corona (though I know I’ll be out there again later with a Chico or something). Pretty much exactly the same size as a Monte 5, I’d actually call this a purito. It has a nice brown wrapper, a step or two darker than Colorado. It has a closed foot, which is a nice little change from the usual. The aroma off the wrapper is hay and oak. The cold draw is cedar and spice (like a spice cabinet, not just pepper). Since it has a closed foot, I don’t light it the way I normally do. I puff on it and taste the wrapper, which has flavors of white pepper, baking bread, and savory spice. As the first half proceeds, cinnamon and oak join the mix. There’s a lot going on but it doesn’t feel too overwhelming. The second half brings some changes, initially in the form of char and meaty flavors. The bread and cinnamon have begun to fade. The spice takes on more of a pepper character, especially on retrohales. The cigar closes out with a return of the cinnamon. I smoke it until it’s burning my lips, despite the cold. All in all, a very tasty little cigar, with good flavors for the winter / holiday season. Construction was spot on, with a nice burn line and no need for corrections. I have more of these in the humidor, and I’m looking forward to smoking them. Total Smoking Time: 31 minutes Score: 90/100 14
GVan Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Good review, I have a 2017 box of the petite lancer's that are still getting better. Less and less pepper and more cinnamon and nutmeg as these progress. They're fine little NC smokes as they get some age on them. 1

I like the petit lancero a little better than the pc actually. Love that size in pretty much every blend 😁 1
Cigar Surgeon Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I managed to get 1 hour and 16 minutes smoking time out of that bad boy.

Haha damn man, I’m not generally a fast smoker but it was cold so I may have rushed this one. Didn’t seem to affect the flavor too negatively if I did though.
