Popular Post PigFish Posted January 10, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2022 I have been wondering about Ross for sometime now. He was a bit of an enigma at times! Just when you thought you had him figured, he would surprise you with an opposite reply. He had that horse moniker for a long time. We would talk horses once in awhile. More than once he said to me, “I miss my horse.” I cannot say why of all things I remember that comment. Of course, I probably won’t miss mine!!! I had offered him many a cigar and he never took me up on one. Maybe giving me his address worried him… -LOL Godspeed mate. I hope you don’t mind if I call you my friend. You will be missed. You were a great asset to the forum and respected by many of your peers, me included. -Ray 6
rob Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Oh wow.... I'm so saddened to hear this news. Terrible. Colt was an absolute rare find, and @El Presidente summed it brilliantly with his OP. I recall with fondness meeting him for cigars, beers and dinner enroute to Havana, and he was a classic Bostonian - hardened, proud and dry! He lived up to his online persona perfectly! We kept in touch for many years, however life and distance got in the way and that had an affect the frequency of our correspondence. I will miss ya, Rossco. Oh, and I'm still getting the spam emails from the mofos who hacked your email !
Connoisseur Kim Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 It's an absolutely sad news indeed. Rest in peace @Colt45.
luv2fly Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Very sad to hear this. He was a true persons person. RIP

dicko Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 RIP Ross. He was always a total gentleman in his comments and was very active when I first got on the forum. I remember he sent a few of us Aussie boys a box of Punch RE's to split when we got the big tax hikes in the late 00's..super generous. He gave me advice several times and always had something wise or witty to say in a humble and polite way. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
