Orson Welles' Montecristo Habana Cigar Box W/Cigars

Orson Welles' Montecristo Habana Cigar Box W/(4) Cigars (Comes W/COA) - This vintage Montecristo Habana cigar box and four Habana cigars were owned by Orson Welles. Welles was a lover of the good life, especially fine cigars; and he was known to intentionally write cigar-smoking characters into his films. This lot will come with a certificate of authenticity. Orson Welles (1915-1985) was an American actor, director, writer, and producer who worked in theatre, radio, and film. He is remembered for his work in all three, most notably for "Caesar" on Broadway, "The War of the Worlds" in radio, and "Citizen Kane" in film, which is consistently ranked as one of the all-time greatest films. Welles conceived, wrote, and directed the film in 1941, when he was just 25 years old. In 1998 and 2007, the American Film Institute ranked "Citizen Kane" as the greatest American movie. These other Welles films were also nominated for the AFI list: "The Magnificent Ambersons" (director/producer/screenwriter), "The Third Man" (actor), "Touch of Evil" (actor/director/screenwriter), and "A Man for All Seasons" (actor). In 1999, The American Film Institute also acknowledged Welles as one of the top 25 male motion picture stars of Classic Hollywood cinema in its survey, AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars.

Well, they must have belonged to the reanimated corpse of Orson Welles since he croaked about 5 years before this box was made.

Once in a while old date codes catch scammers.

That said, I will smoke a Monte 4 tonight in memory of Orson Welles.
