I Vcut almost everything, except skinnies and petite Coronas, those get a guillotine.  I punch never.  If you’ve never tried the V cut I recommend it, once Ive tried it I’ll never go back.  Happy to see so many others agree.

You can punch both sides of the head of the cigar, and create a figure 8 cut. Much more open draw then a single, down the center punch cut. Works great for me. But 95% of the time I use a guillotine cut with a basic lounge cutter.

I own BR scissors, Xikar punch, Xikar guillotine, and a Colibri V-Cut. They all do their thing. I've been using the scissors a lot more in recent days for a novel effect. Any rg at or below 42 usually gets a VCut. The Colibri is sturdy, makes a very deep cut, and doesn't have too many moving parts or springs like the fancier ones. All of that being said... I'm smoking a Monte 4 rn and this was a punch. Go figure!

I have a little punch on my key ring that I use for any parejo.  Pyramids, torpedo, etc. get a straight cut.  I like the punch because it allows me to control the draw to some degree
