Popular Post Akela3rd Posted October 17, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2021 Impressions rather than notes as I smoked this whilst fishing at my local trout lake. The Cazadores is my go-to fishing cigar - on the stronger side and long enough for a good session. Cazadores translates as hunter, which fits in nicely too. This one was nicely constructed and looked good with a striking red hue to the wrapper. Draw was on the tight side but that suited the situation fine as I needed a long slow smoke. The opening was that distinctive combination of old leather and dark fruit. Lovely rich smoke despite the draw. It was a calm, windless day and the smoke hung in the cool air around me. The burn was generally good and the cigar needed a few relights occasionally due to me being otherwise occupied changing flies, catching fish and at one point unhitching my line from a tree I hit on the backcast.Lovely cigar that keeps your attention in the slower periods of fishing. The cherry note that this cigar is well known for came and went throughout, but always behind the backbone of leather. Almost 2hrs in total, very satisfying and a great outdoor cigar to accompany a very pleasant afternoon. 8/10 Sent by spooky action at a distance 14
Nevrknow Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Kills me when I catch a limb on the back cast. 😂 It always seems to happen right when I’m thinking I’m on point. This is THE cast and then bam! Such is life. 1
DeskSmkr Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Nice description, really captures the moment; cigar and outing sounds perfect enough!
