Popular Post ChangBang Posted October 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 2, 2021 Smoked a Monte 1 during MNF earlier in the week. Been a busy week so just getting to the review now - have already smoked the other cigars I'm going to review so have a little backlog. 1 - Have a good draw with a straight cut and cigar opens up with a little spice/pepper and a little cream. Spice makes the retro a little uncomfortable, but I'm able to retro most of it. After an inch or so I start getting espresso still with that touch of cream, so it's pretty enjoyable thus far - wish the flavors were a little more forward but it's sufficient for now. Little notes of cocoa powder appear now and again. 2 - Still getting that espresso with hints of cream which lends to a somewhat boring cigar but it's a nice cigar to have when I'm watching football and not concentrating too hard on the cigar. Maybe half way through the 2nd third, a wood element comes through. Towards the end I start getting a smooth light milk chocolate. 3 - Kind of falls on it's face and I only get a bland generic tobacco note. Overall - 5/10 - It was a pretty average cigar, not bad but nothing amazing. Flavors all around were relatively light and mild. Draw and burn were pretty good which was surprising as these have only rested for about a month and a half. 7
