sorry if this one got a bit melodramatic. was trying, when i did the diary, to combine stuff from conrad into what i did and i am not sure some of it worked very well.

still, was an amazing ride.

Loved this entry! Your writing style took me along for the experience. Looking forward to the next missive.

Even looked up the Muscat & it looks like they will ship worldwide. My bday is coming up in a few weeks so maybe a splurge???

Enjoyed the read. What an adventure. Would love to read a book about your whole trip.

Thanks,

John

thanks. always good fun to do.

and definitely grab the muscat if you can. some producers used to export (robert parker gave them lots of 100 point scores). brilliant by itself or with a cigar.

Stanton and Killeen is a great drop. When I get the chance I sit back with a Seppelt GR113 rare muscst. Its always a great pairing to any cigar just hard finding it these days. Ken once again great read well done 👍

Ken,

I have read Heart of Darkness. I also have read several books about the very early days of big game hunting in Africa. I don't hunt, but those books are a way to have a slight sense of the county in early times that is long gone. They can be very politically incorrect but hard to judge them by modern morality...

I have never tried Muscat, but will start hunting a nice version to give a whirl.

i was the same as a kid. read those books but had no interest in hunting as such. probably read a lot more about catching animals for zoos, but same sort of thing.

Stanton & Killeen is a fantastic muscat. I'm partial to the Morris Old Premium Rare. And the Seppeltsfield DP63 Grand Muscat is great for those on a smaller budget.
