For the reasonable price and value, I will still stick with the Conn#1. Will I try a #2? Sure!

Connie 1 are hard to beat for value! I love them.

As much as I hate to say it, Connie #2 to date are a decent step above. They needed to be.

For what it's worth we did a deck review Friday with Nick, Warren, Stan, Artie an Greg.

The Connie 2 was paired with the Santisima Trinidad rum.

We all had near mirror experiences. Medium bodied start, butterscotch. Great opening....fell away, increased in strength but appeared lost for half an inch.....then an updraft of beautiful sweet spice flavours. Strength kicks in in to medium full into the last third but it held it's poise to the end.

Very very enjoyable. Complex. :ok:

How was the rum?

We all thought it was bloody excellent. Quite the surprise.

Santiago 11 meets Zacapa 23

Sounds like my kind of rum!

may i just say thank you for assuming that i actually have some say in all this.

also, just because a review video has not appeared on foh, does not mean we have not done one. the rate at which our resident technosaur (no names, rob) manages to wipe them means every chance that yours and others have disappeared into the ether.

Ken,

That gives  you an excuse to mooch another cigar from Rob to smoke for the review since the other video review of the cigar disappeared into ether. :2thumbs:

mooching would be an entirely inappropriate word.

dear technosaur. think for a moment how much easier your life would be if you actually read what was written.

at no stage did i say we had smoked one. i merely said that there was every chance you had wiped the video, assuming we had done it, referring to your well known proclivity for leaving no trace of our reviews.

now, if you'll excuse me, i need to hop on the transport to the barossa where bottles of champagne await, before they reveal the new grange.

if i may conclude with yet another piece of airport/qantas lunacy, and after yesterday's flight, i could fill pages...

they have people sitting three abreast, jammed in like sardines, just as they always did. no space between them. after our 2 hour and 40 minute flight, they announce that as we depart the plane, could we please maintain social distancing of 1.5 metres. on what planet does that make any sense?
