Popular Post Superhans Posted May 31, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 31, 2021 Draw seems good at pre light and wrapper pristine with a soft oily sheen. Initial puffs are open but with limited smoke output. 1/3 opening flavours are very pleasant. Soft spice and a dough/bread-like quality quickly morph into a smooth dark coffee followed by a sweet leather. Smoke output picks up after about an inch. 2/3 oily sensation on the lips with each puff. Still predominantly getting dark coffee notes and sweet leather, one after another. Construction is excellent as all Trinidad cigars seem to be. Slight nicotine kick just after the halfway mark. 3/3 Earth, coffee and almond entering the final third. Intensity of flavour has increased a fair bit. Quite complex array of flavours to finish off - thoroughly enjoyable. Probably the second best regular production cigar I’ve had this year only behind the Rio Seco. Will be interesting to see how the boxes I have progress over the next year and beyond. Paired with a glass of my homebrew IPA which matched up nicely but reckon a black coffee would work so well with the cigar. 91 15
Kevin48438 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 That’s a nice, roasty looking IPA. Makes me want a beer right now. Mission accomplished! 🍻 2
Edicion Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 Nice review! Had one earlier today, posted on FOH Daily smokes. Very good cigar, agree. Had the Rio Seco yesterday, and found both very pleasant. Not sure which one I would pick as a winner, but the Trini felt bit more premium and elegant. Need to smoke some more of each 😄 1
