Popular Post JohnS Posted May 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2021 The Habanos World Days Press Conference was presented on the first day of the Virtual Habanos World Days event, running from May 4th to 6th. It consisted of a presentation subtitled in English of around 6 minutes and a prepared question-and-answer session of 22 minutes. The presenters were Leopoldo Cintra González (Commercial Vice-President of Habanos, S.A) and José María López Inchaurbe (Development Vice-President of Habanos, S.A). The main points gleaned from this presentation are: Total Revenue for 2020 was $US507 million, a drop of 4% due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of duty free sales, especially in Cuba has contributed to this result. On the other hand, on-line sales and marketing has provided a boost in sales as a result of the pandemic so that losses weren't as detrimental to final revenue. The impact of restrictions of tourism in Cuba and increase in online sales has meant that China is now the Number One market for Habanos cigar products followed by Spain, France, Germany and Switzerland (replacing Cuba) in 5th. Europe remains the premier World Region for sales, accounting for 60% of total volume and 53% of total revenue. 11 1
Corylax18 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I'd love to see the Volume/Revenue split for the Chinese market. 1
