for bird watchers

spent some time early this morning watching (i am not normally a bird watcher as such but thought this might be interesting). a beach stone curlew. at hastings point. bit exciting as they are critically endangered and largely considered extinct here. 

also, a young magpie which let me get within about three feet of it. just happy to sing. 

no idea why the machine made the magpie lie on its side?????

Have a few bird feeders at my house. Enjoy them immensely. Painted Buntings, cardinals, woodpeckers, Tufted Tits. All fun to watch while smoking

They’ll be crapping on my golf course in a month.  Keep them there.  Keep, trap them, shoot them, whatever.  That goose is the rat of the bird world.
