Popular Post sho671 Posted April 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 4, 2021 Another evening smoke thanks to the changing weather and longer days. The cigar was densely packed and had tight but manageable draw on the pre-light. The draw remained a little tight from beginning to end but I didn't bother grabbing a draw tool. The flavors were a little flat with intermittent wood and earth notes but I didn't pick up on any transitions throughout the cigar. I'm hoping that this one was a dud and I'll wait at least a few months before trying another one from this box. 1/5 5
smbauerllc Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I have never really thought the RASS was as good as you would think based on how many people love them. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 2

PuroDiario Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Thanks for review. Sorry to see it did not perform as expected. I love RASS. I, for the most part, have found however that i like them with 2 years plus on them. That's where i find the most consistent performance in my boxes - but overall, i barely can remember the last time i smoke a bad RASS, even if young.

I have also heard they improve with a couple years of age. I'd agree with the above comments about not loving how they smoke young, but I've glad you've had more positive experiences with them!

If only 2 or 3 years helps, I can handle aging a few for that long to give them a fair shake Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk 1
Glass Half Full Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Agree with all of the above about how good RASS is with aging. It's a favorite for me (though I'm working through a box from 2015). You might take a look at the coincidentally just posted review by PhilipL about the aged version.
jonnyfromiranny Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 I've ordered a quarter box and had 3 so far; all that are < 1 year old. 1 outstanding, 1 slightly below average, 1 about average (but a tight draw throughout). The one that was outstanding was enough for me to commit to a box. I am confident they will get better with age.
