Popular Post El Presidente Posted March 23, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 23, 2021 Images upgrade on BR. Well done Andy The image loader and viewer has been upgraded on BR. You will notice a real difference on those images with the BondRoberts.com watermark. that commenced yesterday. By the end of tomorrow, all images will be in the new format (correct upload resolution). The image watermark is small but necessary as some BR auction images/boxes were enending up on various FB groups for sale. The admins of those sites were contacted regarding the fraud. Here is an example of the new image format. click on the main image and scroll through. You can use the zoom featue to really have a good look at the detail. https://www.bondroberts.com/product/view/4153/Montecristo_Sublimes_Edición_Limitada_2008_Semi_Boite_Nature_Box_of_10_cigars Again, well done Andy in getting the custom software implemented. 11 3

Popular Post Ryan Posted March 24, 2021 Popular Post Posted March 24, 2021 It's a big difference alright. It can be important to see more detail, especially in auction lots. Now the images can be "zoomed-in" quite a bit once selected. Some very nice pictures going up already. File sizes, for selected images, are about 10 times what they used to be. The listings that went up before this change have the old image size and no watermark. In about two days, all new lots will have the new image format. Another change is that when sellers are uploading images, the thumbnail versions will now handle any height/width ratio without distortion. Previously, certain image ratios were being squeezed/distorted a little by the system in order to fit into the 4:3 thumbnail frame. This was confusing for many sellers. Now any image size will work. This should make it much easier for sellers to upload any image without having to worry about the image proportions. Personally I hate watermarks, but it had to be done. Scam sales with Bond Roberts images were becoming more common in social media groups. A watermark near the edge of an image can be cropped out too easily. Every watermark in Bond Roberts images is in the exact centre. However the text is white with only 20% opacity. So, for example, veins on wrappers can be seen right through it. In lighter images it's barely noticeable, but it's there. 4 3
