Needed another one for the L&SRW1 comp and decided to throw down with the crazy-straw of the CC world. I picked some up on a "why the hell not" purchase.  Brought them for some of my so-called friends to smoke on a recent reunion trip.  Thought it might steer them away from my more expensive stash, but no luck.  Grifting bastards had no problem grabbing a 10 year Cohiba in exchange for a dried out Rocky Patel from the liquor store where they bought Jack Daniels to match the McCallan 15 I brought too.  Cheap bastards. 

Since my worthless "friends" left me hanging, I am here smoking a Culebra by myself.

So lonely. . .  

Anyway, it's surprising how good these novelty cigars are.  A pretty loose roll I suspect is necessary to get them to braid when wet.  Easy light with a perfect draw that I didn't expect with the multiple compressions at the bend points.  It burned fast but perfectly.  Tons of smoke.

Started out rich, earthy, with some pleasant woodiness.  Even though it burned like a skyrocket fuse, the smoke remained cool and flavorful.

Middle part picked up some spiciness, toasted tobacco, and fine Corinthian leather, not that cheap hide they sell to the tourists.  

Finished this tasty freak show in about 40 minutes. Earthy, woody, spicy, classic Cuban tobacco riding it all the way to the end.

Actually, I've got one more from the braid.  At least I didn't smoke them all at once like some of the goofs I've seen on the interwebs.  

I'll report back on the last one after I gather myself with a pint of ice cream and a good cry.

You’re not supposed to smoke all three at once? I thought the red banding at the foot added a certain amount of “pop!” ?
