Scubasteve20 Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Hello, Well, I finally discovered this place. From what I've seen so far, I'm feel very comfortable with the whole operation & folks here. I've been smoking cigars off & on since about 1997. I've travelled the world for the past 20 years in the Navy (now retired) and was fortunate to visit many great shops in that time. Purchased and smoked the greats, the fakes, and everything in between. I got my dad into cigars about 15 years ago & he's pretty hardcore into it. I have the patience to wait & age them, he doesn't. I recently made some life changes which afford me the ability and time to enjoy good smokes again. I figured it was time to say hi after I scored my first 24:24 tonight, a shareable gift of 25 HU#2s. I plan to sick mostly with CCs going forward so you'll see me around. The personal stuff: I'm married to wife #2, wish she would've been #1. Have a 10yo daughter, 11yo step-son, and a 7 week old son (surprise!!!). I now work for our family-owned real estate title company since retiring from the military. Favorite all-time smoke: has to be a toss-up between my first ever Siglo VI around 2008 on the back of a destroyer in the middle of the night at sea, or the Monte #2 which mistakenly got packed away in a cheapie humidor in a box in the garage for about 8 years, carefully brought back to life around 2010. Just scored my second 24:24 purchase, Partagas shorts. I already have some on the way but wanted more to age. I'm a huge fan of the smaller format smokes; they fit my tastes and smoking opportunities perfectly. Hell or high water... I'm going to get dad interested in some of those. He has no patience to age cigars and it kills me. in fact, I'm going to start a new thread just on that topic now. 1
