Partagas P2 GEM ENE 20 (PTGSRW)

Originally had a Ramon Allones Gigantes dry boxing to smoke during the raven's game but switched it to this due to a couple factors, one being the review week!  Looking back, I def wouldn't have had the time for the RA so this was a good choice for me.  Received this in Aug in one of those piramides sampler boxes and it's been resting since.

Gave it an angled cut and the draw was perfect for me, I think the cigar itself looks pretty good - nice smooth wrapper, camera didn't get it but slightly oily too that I could feel on my hands while smoking.  Paired it with an old fashioned, pineapple rum, and a rum grand mariner pineapple juice concoction.  It did last about 1.5hrs so 3 drinks isn't too bad?

1/3 - Sweet spice and wood.  Hints of baking spice towards the end of the first third

2/3 - Spice and pepper.  Sweetness is mostly gone and replaced with a peppery spice.  It has a bite to it, which I'm fine with.

3/3 - Woody and nutty flavors are coming through.  Then only wood.  Ends on a woody tobacco note that is pleasant and I put it out right before it hits the shoulder of the torpedo.  

Draw stayed good throughout.  Ash was flakey and didn't hold much past the 2nd pic.  It did tend to run a little so a few touchups were needed but nothing that took away from the experience.  

Overall I'd give this a 5.5/10 - a little above average and a decent solid smoke.  Better than the short(purely due to the size) and not as good as the lusitanias.  Don't have any more of these, but maybe will pick up a 1/4 in the future or try to split a box with someone.
